The DMV is proud to present A Night Among The Stars; as our locally based and internationally known artists honor a mentor, Musical Director, and icon: Keith “Showtime” Busey.
The company will take the stage to perform beloved hits by major recording artists from across the globe. Please join us, and enjoy a night of pure excellence- all in tribute to “Showtime” Busey!
Ignatius Mason: a vocalist, songwriter, music producer, and a renowned drummer. Ignatius is former vocalist for Heatwave and The Stylistics, and is currently one of the lead singers for The Voices of Motown.
Sonya Chichester “Sonja”: a beautiful songbird and fabulous artist who loves to touch the hearts of an audience. Sonja is a seasoned performer, opening shows for Mother’s Finest, Denise Williams, The Bar-Kays,and more. She does a phenomenal tribute show of Gladys Knight’s repertoire.
Tyrone Toomer “The Man of 1000 Voices”: lead male vocalist for Bloodstone. Tyrone is also a member of The Voices of Motown; currently sings lead for Forever Yours; a tribute to The O’Jays; and performs a brilliant tribute to Bobby Womack, Bobby Brown and Jodeci.
Anissa Hargrove “Twink”: possesses a sensational voice and has performed with multi-Grammy award winner Gloria Gaynor and was backup vocalist for The Jones Girls. Anissa currently is the lead vocalist of the group Shadz of Soul and has a solo career.
Michael Muse: a smooth and powerful vocalist and is loved for his tribute to Donny Hathaway. Michael is the former lead vocalist for The Stylistics, and currently the lead vocalist for The Delfonics and also The Softones.
Steven Slaughter “Fresh”: a former member of Heatwave, Fresh is currently one of the lead vocalists for The Voices of Motown. He also handles lead vocals for Tony Brooks’ Blue Notes, and enjoys performing his tributes to Teddy Pendergrass and Otis Redding.
Kat Rollins: a wonderful distinct voice, and national recording artist who is known for her southern soul flavor. She’s shared the stage with Eban Brown ex-The Stylistics), and is a member of The Intruders and Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes.
Derrick Burley “Triple”: he is an experienced and poised artist, who brings the look, the swag and the voice! He has a diverse audience, as well as possessing a strong gospel background. Triple enjoys performing his tributes to The Whispers and other legends.
Karen Linette: she has a voice of exquisite excellence. A national recording artist and songwriter, Karen caters to many musical genres. She loves to challenge her voice and performs tributes to Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin, Minnie Rippleton and other multi-octave artists.
Jerome Mackall: a soulful entertainer and exciting artist,who keeps the audience on their feet, Jerome is currently one of the lead vocalist for the southern soul group Hardway Connection and enjoys performing his dynamic tribute to Al Green.
